What could it be…?

Could we be getting ready to see it soon now that Shunsui’s in trouble again…?!

I’m confused. According to the law Urahara is referring to, it sounds like you’re in the Gotei 13 ‘til you die, or are written in as “withdrawn” and sent to the Maggot’s Nest (also explained by Urahara). So…how can you retire for real?

This seems like a conflicting plot point.

So much wrong with this…

1) First of all, the even numbered captains are supposed to be on Yama-jii’s right-hand side, and the odd numbered on the left, but they’re not in Chapter 188.

2) Why is Unohana on the odd numbered side at all??

3) Yama-jii’s chair seems to be moody - sometimes it’s there, sometimes it’s not.

3) I just realized Shunsui’s hat is colored very differently here…

Dude. They were having a battle with the most powerful shinigami in Soul Society. They were bloodied, cut up, and probably burned (that is one hot zanpaku-to). But Shunsui had to be like, “Aw hell no, I am NOT going to be seen without my pink coat and hat. You guys gotta help me find them before we go stop this evil bastard.”

Yeah. Sure.

You can just make out that Shunsui is wearing socks in the first panel, when he really just wears the sandals.

The sun bleaches everything.

EDIT: It actually appears that since after chapter 102, those marks have been left blank.
